Aka 赤 ("red" in Japanese) merges 33 continuous meters of cameraless 16mm film and sculpted recordings of Japanese shinkansen bullet trains to create a partition of immersive, embodied time. Suspended tones and textures carry viewers through shifting layers of cinematic space, and memory.
