Muye is the Hñähñu deity of rain, thunder, and the movements of subterranean and surface waters. In some accounts he appears as a serpent, or a layered, strand-like being. In this direct animation on 16mm film, the moving image becomes a living, fluid body transforming across molecular, geological, and primordial scales.

"I am water in another form." Gaston Bachelard's statement resonates as a possible echo within Muye, where water appears not as a motif but as an active principle of transformation. 

OBLIQUO presents this piece as an exploration of the limits of contemporary perception, where the natural and the artificial, the organic and the constructed, cease to function as stable categories and enter a shared field of vibration.
